We formed FLBDP to respond to a City plan that proposed a large skateboard park in the northern half of the Dog Park. Recognizing this plan as unsafe for both kids and dogs, we mobilized.  And the City listened. In February 2006, the City agreed to eliminate the Dog Park as a possible site for the skatepark project.

But we take nothing for granted!  Now we focus on educating the public on responsible pet ownership, supporting local rescue operations, including the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, and of course, improving our beautiful Dog Park.
